RYUSEIHA IN THE TROPICS
The first program for 2012 - 2013 will be a floral demonstration by free style master in Ryuseiha, Momoko Emmett.
Ryusei-ha ikebana is the approach known as “the faces of plants.” The arranger is not bound by set rules of composition but encounters the plant materials directly, approaching them with a new attitude. This is done in four basic ways: changing the viewpoint, modifying the materials, trying new combinations of materials, and establishing a situation. Momoko Emmott started Ikebana in 1992, in the Ryusei-ha Head master’s class. She is qualified Ryusei-ha free style master. She also received a ‘best newcomers’ award in 1997 from Ryusei-ha school being among the best newly qualified masters out of all of Japan. This event is a membership drive. Please invite at least one friend or more to help keep our membership healthy and enjoy a special discount for multiple tickets. All guests will take home a gift in appreciation. We will carry out our duties to the best of our abilities for our prestigious club Ikebana International Chapter 235.
The club is almost 20 years old, we have such a good rapport with each other. Therefore, my sincere request: let's share and inspire all members to take an active part in our club's events by learning from each other the art of Ikebana.
I am sure many of our seniors as well as our new members, many of you who are talented in the art of Ikebana as well as art and craft would come forward and share your knowledge with our members in our future workshop.
With your support and encouragement, together we will have fun and enjoyable future events in year 2012 - 2013.
Thank you.
