Membership

Membership is afforded to individuals who are in agreement with Ikebana International's objective, have become members of Ikebana International, and pay annual dues.

Ikebana International Magazine

A thrice yearly premier publication with photos of Ikebana arrangements and articles about Ikebana and related arts and cultural topics.

Chapter Activities Newsletter and Sakura News

Two newsletters which keep members informed about chapters and regions around the world as well as Ikebana International Headquarters.

Regional Conferences and World Conventions

Regional conferences are held periodically for the purpose of offering educational and cultural exchange opportunities to our members close to home. Every five years there is an Ikebana International World Convention in Japan.

Local Chapter Events

These regular events  are stimulating interactions and sharing of various ikebana schools' inspirations, styles, philosophy, history, techniques, and other points of difference and common interest, as well as educational and entertaining activities relating to other Japanese traditional arts. Members are also welcome to visit other chapters and participate in their events.

The association's business year is from July 1 to June 30.

Please note that Ikebana International does not provide ikebana lessons. Those who want to take ikebana lessons should contact an ikebana school or ikebana teacher directly.

Membership dues are 350 MYR per year, of which a substantial part represents the annual dues forwarded to Ikebana International headquarters, with the balance going to the incidental expenses of arranging local chapter events.
